Barracks where Bug Bears were killed

The entire team is assembled. barkle Heals Elos. A knock is heard at the East Door and appears Agosta. He came thru and to sneak past 7 ghouls, saw a room covered in Mushrooms towards the east, and a dead dwarf. A loud wave like boom is heard. Now towards the east door a scratch is heard. The teams heads to the West door but I cannot open it. Elos and I push it open together. As the door slowly opens the hallways are covered in spiderwebs. It appears there are bug bears wrapped in the web. Possibly the bodies our our recent kills. Braximus lets loose a firebolt. As the words “fero” touches his lips a smile appears, while the fire burns the spiders webs. Only a small path is formed. I light a torch and give it to Barkles mage hand. He moves his hand like a conductor and clears a path to the North Door. There is now an iron gate in front of the entrace. With 2 inch bars it appears as there is no way to get past. Elos burns the bodies.

The team heads back to the east door. Past through the South hallway with Ghouls. Head through east hallways and open into a large room. 12545930_1087054314678522_1051867465_o.jpg

We find dead bodies on the floor, a channel, a paddle, and a furnace. In the back a floating skull of red and green. Agosta sneaks in the room. Barkle sends mage hand to light a body. The skull immediately stops patrol and heads the flaming body and screaches “INTRUDERS!”. We try to sneak around but mine armor is loud. The skull swiftly turns around and screams " INNTRUDDERSSS!" The dead bodies starts to form and awaken. A blast of fire from it’s eyes flashes before me and hits dead center. Agosta uses his staff to crack a zombie twice. Barkle sends a bolt right at the skull but hardly seems affected. I swing at the Zombie in front of me with a massive hit. Adara shoots a firebolt “aba” and hits the closest zombie. Krud looses an arrow on the zombie on fire and sails thru to the zombie behind it. Elos rushs the red skull but misses. Willy attempts to hit a zombie but misses and falls face down. Braximus moves swiftly thru and bellows “Pish PISH Pish” and 3 missles slam into the red skull. Shado moves in and sends out firebolt into the Red Skull. He screams “awa” Elos slams his axe into the side of the skull and it falls to the floor. Agosta uses his stick to beat the zombie in front of him. Barkle shoots a zombie with a crossbow. I swing at the zombie in front of me. Adara sends another firebolt “awa” and nails him. Willy gets hit by a zombie and cries out in pain. Krud Swings three times at 2 foes and takes out the head of the zombie in front of me.

Elos comes back for Willy and nails the Zombie with an Axe. Willy fails to hit a zombie. Braximus sends firebolt around me and hits the zombie nearest me. Shado blows out firebolt at near me. Agosta smashes the zombie in the face and its bodies falls lifeless. He swings again and a loud crack is heard. Barkle hits a zombie dead on. I slashed one and suddenly hit in the back by firebolt and Adara yells “Sorry!” I reply " NOOB!!" A zombie goes to gnaw on Willy’s head. Krud immediately tries to aid Willy and hits this zombie, then the one next to him, and again Willy’s attacker. Elos cleaves the zombie in half but he is still alive. Braximus agains sculpts firebolt and hits the zombie as it slumps to the floor. Agosta swiftly sends his staff into the head of the zombie. Barkle calls in thinder wave and are lightly damaged. Adara’s firebolt hits the torso but is barely phased.

Krud swings at the 3 closest zombies and hits each one easily. Elos kills the zombie in front of him. Out of the shadows Shado sents an arrow into the zombie head and decapitates it. We easily clean up the zombies and I check each body but there is nothing of value. Adara checks the skull but finds nothing special. Krud checks the room and finds no traps. Agosta checks out the the furnace. Barkle recognizes the devices as a forge. =190 xp

Door facing ghouls

At the door Crunching can be heard. Elos thrusts the door open and throws in the torch to reveal 4 ghouls eating on a body, He closes the door and the ghouls clamber until one is successful and Elos brings downs his axe. With the sheer force of the blow he drags him down to death and the door slams shut again.

Krud successfully kicks the door open and the 3 remaining ghouls lunge towards the door. Brax lets fly missles “Pish Pish Pish” Shado and Barkle both land arrows.Crud slashes a ghoul. I come in and slice the head off a ghoul. Barkel shoots a thunder wave that rings through like a wet fart. Two ghouls bite at Elos and the poison does not affect him. I swing back at the ghoul that is near Elos and chop off both his legs. Elos swings his axes and relieves the last ghoul of his head. Elos takes Willy’s water flask and fills up with Ghoul blood.

Upon review of the review the merry band of heros can see it is an old barracks. Barkle and Elos use the Ghoul Blood to dip each of their arrows. Krud checks the door at the West for traps. A pathway reveals a mined area but no loot. Braximus investigates a cave in when out of no where a Giant Yellow Blob falls on the floor cutting him off from the rest of the team.

Braximus yells out that no one should hit this foul creature with a slashing weapon as it might split. Shado and Barkel use their magic to damage the creature. I pull out my crossbow for the first time and my arrow disappears in the blob. Braximus and Adara slam down fire and kill this unsightly beast. Braximus’ interest pays off and he finds a few bits of gold nuggets.

We venture forward and found a cavern 60×100 ft filled with still water. Adara checks the water and it is very dark and covers the entire room. At the NE a tunnel provides the source of this water. Adara tosses a handful of salt in the water and it immediately returns to still. We head towards a large stone staircase.

We find a door with voices in goblin saying “we are hungry”. The team assembles to create a choke point. Barkle opens the door and lets loose an arrow that misses. 2 Bugbears rush out and 1 hits Barkle with a morning star. Elos and Krud loose an arrow into one bug bear. Adara shoots a firebolt that smashes into the same bug bear. I take two massive swings at the same bug bear. Shado nails the bug bear in the eye and he falls to the side. Elos slices the bug bear in half. And the 3rd disappears. Another bug bear comes from the North Staircase. Adara shoots fire and scorches this bear. The door swings open and another bug bear comes straight for me. Shado sticks an arrow in this bug bear. Elos rushs the Bug Bear at the Staircase and his axe gets stuck in the bug bear as he falls over. The last bug bear starts to flee with terror of his fellow brothers. I swing at his Achilles tendons and he falls to the floor.

Braximus interrogates this Bug Bear with authority in his native tongue. We find that black spider is up the North Stairs to the left. We now know he is a male Drauwe magician named Nesnar, Elos finds a vitality potion, cures poison or disease or exhaustion and maximizes hit die healing for 24 hours. The team moves into the large room and locks the doors.

Start: Cavern with Gnome/Dwarve's Mining

Adara, Krud, Elos, Braximus, Shado, and Gamora head south through a door and come upon old weapon racks and skeleton bones from Orcs and Dwarves. Braximus and Gamora lead the charge. Shado is knocked unconscious. Gamora lops the head off one skeleton and sees a glimer of red ruby as the skull is emancipated from its current owner. Braximus gives Elos a mighty hug and thunder smashes two skeletons. Adara rolls fire and scortches 5 foes. Elos smashes another skeleton and Krud ends the last member.

Gamora finds a Sardonics stone that is red and white (ping pong size) that was warm to the touch and lost its warmth. A story from the decks of Calico Jack and the bard Mikel shared the story of a wizard who set a trap on his home with a sardonic stone that will Raise the Dead buried in the basement if anyone entered.

The team takes a short rest after searching the room.

Head west to the door and find a Strong Box that is invincible!

Turn back North to door and hear crunching. Elos opens the door to find 4 hungry ghouls. Elos closes the door and the team readies for the attack. The ghouls clamber at the door and one arm appears and Elos’s axe claims the arm of the lead ghoul.

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
